UNITED WAY OF LOGAN COUNTY ANNOUNCES GRANT RECIPIENTS FOR 2022
As the United Way of Logan County begins its 61st year of bringing the community together in 2022, $77,000 has been pledged to provide support of the work of the following organizations and programs in Logan County:

The Boy Scouts – WD Boyce Council
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois Senior Nutrition Program – Meals On Wheels
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois CAPCIL Transportation Program
Community Action Partnership of Central Illinois Food Pantry Co-Op Program
The Center for Youth and Family Solutions
Christian Child Care
The Girl Scouts of Central Illinois
Girls on the Run of Central Illinois
The Lincoln Area YMCA
Lincoln Pastoral Counseling
Living Alternatives Crisis Pregnancy Center
The Oasis – Senior Citizens Center
The Salvation Army
The United Way of Logan County will also continue to administer the Dolly Parton Imagination Library which is funded through designated contributions in addition to other grants given. This program provides free books, mailed to the homes of children monthly from age birth up to five years, to promote a love of books and learning. As of December 14th, 113 children in the Logan County communities of Beason, Broadwell, Chestnut, Cornland, Elkhart, Emden, Hartsburg, Latham, Middletown, Mt. Pulaski and New Holland were registered for this program. Parents of these communities may register eligible children at https://tinyurl.com/yaja3k4u. United Way 2-1-1 will also continue to be sponsored by the United Way of Logan County. This resource, provided by PATH in Bloomington, Illinois, has been available for a year to Logan County residents, and over 200 Logan County residents have taken advantage of the help that can be provided by this program. United Way 2-1-1 is an easy to remember telephone number that connects people with important community services such as: Basic human needs such as food, shelter, rent and utility assistance; physical, substance abuse treatment and mental health resources; employment support; support for older Americans and persons with disabilities’ support for children, youth and families.
The United Way of Logan County works to bring our community together. A united community is a stronger community.
